I've been making more patterns today. Just for fun. This one is a kind of toile with some sad looking deer and hungry birdies as well as apples, cherries and some bushes.
Hi Maaike! thank you for your comment :-) I'm glad you like the pattern - I've just submitted the design to Envelop - http://www.envelop.eu/ - (do you know it?) so it can be printed on some cushions.
Just had a look at your blog - it's lovely! And enjoy the snow in Amsterdam :-) It is snowing here too. x
I'd love some Karen Cheung fabric! I just made a cushion cover out of Ikea fabric (not too twee birds). It was a real hack job but still makes the sofa and room look awesome. Amazing what small things can do.
:-) What do you know, you can buy a cushion cover, or a set of napkins with this design on it from Envelop! I only got the design approved yesterday but it is ready to buy now. I will put up the link as a new post today, but just for you, here it is (don't feel obliged to buy one! I am going to get one for our house soon): http://www.envelop.eu/shop/designers/p/detail/karencheung
I might also make the design available as a fabric on Spoonflower. I just haven't got round to it yet, but it might be fun to have for making things out of!
Your cushion sounds lovely. It's amazing what a few bits of soft furnishing can do for a room :-) xxx
Hello! I am an illustrator, animator and artist based in the UK. I am represented by Jelly London. Please visit my portfolio here. I like to draw freaks and monsters, or animals with personality disorders - these are the kind of people I find interesting. I love vintage homewares, going to auctions and wearing bad knitwear.
The name Alternative Eagle comes from a childish, deliberate mispronunciation of 'alter ego'. Best not to ask exactly how that came about - you'd probably think I'm mad.
Thank you for stopping by. Any comments or suggestions are always welcome :-)

Hi Karen, you made a true beauty today! Love the pattern.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend yourself as well,
love Maaike
