Homespun Vintage Design
Came across another shop this morning that sells an interesting selection of mid century pieces. It's called Homespun Vintage Design and it aims to showcase and sell pieces made by the last century's more overlooked designers - in their words: 'going beyond the usual celebrated design icons to shine the spotlight across a wider arc'.

Those chairs are a really funky shape :)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! My love for MCM grows by the day; perhaps there's a nostalgia factor involved, seeing as I have actual - ahem - memories of that era. :-)
ReplyDeleteI see so many jewels on ebay.co.uk, but am hesitant about large purchases sight unseen, and then with the delivery costs...but a nice credenza there costs half what it costs in NL, so I might succumb. Tsk.
I like the fact that there is stuff in that shop that isn't made by a 'big name'. I look on eBay a lot as well, but usually delivery is expensive, even within the UK, or it's like a local pickup from Sunderland or somewhere remote like that! Sometimes it's worth paying for delivery though :-) Sadly I am on a furniture shopping hiatus until we move house (doesn't stop me from looking, though!) x
