One Hundred Days no.99
I'm being a bit cruel, but really, people are starting to discuss how better to cull the urban fox population because of this 'fox mauls twins' news story. Honestly! Freak incident causes mass panic... the usual in Britain.

Brilliant drawing Karen! Sums it up very nicely, too. Don't you just love the British media? It's a special brand of hysteria. e.g- It's the coldest winter in a MILLION YEARS. We are all GOING TO DIE.
ReplyDelete:) Nice job! x
Hurray! Good to know that there will be more good drawings. I had to show my man your drawing yesterday. We were lauging so much. All these great expressions. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day:)
Mola

ReplyDeletexo,

Thanks, Laura. The British media drives me bonkers sometimes. So silly and OTT sometimes :-)
ReplyDeleteMola - thanks again! I will try to keep you all laughing as often as I can!
Sandy - thanks too. I'm looking forward to posting it up tomorrow.

This is brilliant. It really cheered me up... I have baby foxes in my garden at the moment, (we have them most years,) and I am besotted with them so am finding this media frenzy really sad.
ReplyDeleteHere's a url for a recent post I did on my blog about my fox cubs & how they sometimes turn up in my illustrations!

Hi Katriona, thanks for your comment and the link. Your foxes are so sweet! ONly last night I was thinking of writing and illustrating a story about a fox.
ReplyDeleteAnd I loved reading your blog - you have a lot of interesting things to say about illustration and publishing, and the 12 week challenge sounds like a great idea to move your work forward - I think I should have a go at doing something like that too. I feel stuck in a rut a bit at the moment doing work that pays bills but doesn't satisfy me creatively :-/
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it.
Karen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my foxes!
I'm kind of in the opposite situation at the moment... doing work that satisfies me creatively but doesn't pay the bills. I guess it's a hard balance to get right :o(
Your work is lovely!
:-/ we can never win, eh? A bit of both would be ideal!
